Where is Telephassa buried, the Mother of EUROPA
From
01/08 to 30/10/2011, we begin our Study and MYSTERY
CAMPAIGN: Where is Europa’s mother buried?
Many often use the expression: “the abduction of Europa” by Zeus. This
phrase is wrong, since “Greek men do not abduct women; they entrance
them!” There is no “abduction or rape” but a creative erotic union, as I
mention in my book “Europe: The Symbol of Creativity”, Eleftheroudakis
publications, Athens, 2006. From this union, the first Europeans are
born: Minos, Sarpedon and Rhadamanthus.
Zeus was transformed into a powerful white bull and came to the region
of Sidon/Tyre for the beautiful princess Europa, daughter of king Agenor
(the leader of men) and Telephassa. Europa was picking flowers at the
seaside with her girl friends, when she noticed the white bull, was
charmed and ran towards it, embracing, kissing and crowning it with
flowers. Zeus kneeled under her attraction and Europa climbed on his
back – you can see their erotic union in the 2 “Euro” coin. The Greek
name, “Euro” was selected because of the writer’s proposals; the
Commission technocrats wanted to name the coin E.C.U.

When Europa’s father, Agenor, was deprived of his princess daughter,
called for his four sons before him and ordered them: “Go to the four
points of the horizon and bring back your sister. If you can’t find her,
never return…”
In the North, Cadmus and Thassus sailed away along with their mother,
Telephassa, who joined them. Cilix went east and founded Cilicia in Asia
Minor while Phoenix went south and founded Phoenicia. Cadmus and Thassus
along with their mother searched in the area of Thrace but could not
find Europa. Thassus, searched in the island opposite the mainland,
later named after him Thassos, and could not find her. He was charmed by
the beautiful nymphs of the island, the vegetation, its blossom, its
wine and honey, and of course stayed there.
Cadmus took his mother to Thrace and there, she died exhausted and was
buried. (see the ancient writer Apollodorus 3.1.1). Later, Cadmus
continued his search at the Pangaion mountainside and became the first
to discover its gold! But then he turned to the South West and founded
Cadmia, today’s Thebes…

From July 25 to the end of August 2010, we begin our Study and MYSTERY
CAMPAIGN: Where is Europa’s mother buried?
We will work with archaeologists, shepherds, forest rangers, hunters,
and the army. We will take into consideration the location of pilgrim
sites and churches, and will even use GIS systems to locate the holy
tomb of Telephassa…
In our expedition we will have the assistance of both the national and
International press, the local newspaper “ Kathimerinos Typos”and its
director Mr. G. Ganitis, the priest of N. Karia M. Nektarios, the
philologist Mrs V. Boulouksi, Mr. S. Hatsoukis and many other local
people.
We also have the strong support of 500.000.000 Europeans on our side,
waiting to see the tomb of their grandmother!
We warmly invite you to join us and participate in this exciting
project!
