A native of Zakynthos, Dionysis has been painting ever since he first became an art student in Athens in 1958. There, he worked for over three years in the studio of Theodoros Drossos. Dionysis is a member of the Greek Chamber of Fine Arts and his work, which is exhibited in galleries throughout Europe, forms part of the art collection of the Athens University School of Archaeology.

Since 2001 he has lived and worked in Zakynthos, where he founded the Krypti Art and Cultural centre at Macherado.  He was the curator of the Modern Greek Sculpture and Painting Exhibition at Zakynthos museum, where his own work was also displayed.

For the past thirty five years Dionysis’ work has been exhibited at galleries in France and Germany, as well as in his beloved Greece.

Mr. Papadatos teaches art and painting from his studio and workshop at Macherado, where he has also organized painting and cultural workshops and seminars. The seminars cater for both the advanced and beginner.
